Wallets linked to Libra meme coin promoter Hayden Davis capitalized on Ye's (formerly Kanye West) YZY token launch, netting $12 million in profits from a $2.8 million initial position. Blockchain analytics firm Bubblemaps traced the on-chain activity, revealing coordinated purchases within one minute of the token's announcement.
The trades coincided with the unfreezing of Davis' funds by a Manhattan federal judge, previously tied to the controversial Libra project endorsed by Argentine President Javier Milei. Ye's team deployed 25 decoy tokens as an anti-sniping measure before randomly selecting YZY as the official asset.
